For many months, I followed my thoughts in permanent black ink pen along till rolls, allowing them to fall and fold into these pools on the floor as I write. When too anxious to write, I would do the same but by ‘tapping’ the rolls, with ink-dipped fingers, in a slightly manic way.

Language will always be a symbolic order and a representational event. Any attempt to reveal something, ie.of a thought or a feeling, will always be incomplete and partly removed from the initial intent. I think of an analogy: trying to communicate something is like trying to get one small cup to hold liters and liters of water--it simply does not fit. Like a stutter: something comes through but not everything, and the effort continues. In the passage from 2D expressions to a 3D forms, visual, written and tactile language become partly senseless, inaccessible and variable--thus gaining an open-ended quality.
